Sisters are working with Policy Group on Tradeswomen Issues (PGTI) to host an event celebrating National Women in Apprenticeship Day on November 15, 2016. They are expecting 100 people, and will be giving two awards. One award will be the ‘Crushing the Barriers for Women in Apprenticeship’ for a contractor who completed a project that met workforce goals for women and people of color. The other award will go to Elevator Constructor, the first JATC in Boston to sign a direct entry agreement with Building Pathways, the city’s pre-apprenticeship program.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is also issuing a proclamation marking the day and has been invited to the event. Check out the flyer!
