As part of their ongoing work with the New England Carpenters Training Fund, Boston SIB members continue to do outreach, with a particular focus on women and people of color. Their latest initiative involved speaking at a Brockton High School Advisory Committee meeting.
Sisters from Locals 33, 40, and 67 shared ideas on ways the school could improve outreach and attract more women to their trades program. They also showed a SIB recruitment video and distributed outreach Palm Cards.
Meeting participants showed a lot of interest and were very receptive to the ideas. The Sisters posed for a photo with Brockton High School Wood Shop Instructor Don Gillis.
