Our Training

United Brotherhood of Carpenters’ training is the hallmark of our union. While our members may have vastly different skill sets, they all share the pride and commitment of being the most highly trained in the most up-to-date theories and methodologies, tools, installation procedures, and safety measures.

CITF Mission, Vision, Values

UBC training considers the needs of our members in totality–not only in skill enhancement, but also in communication skills, applied science, personal development, technology training, leadership cultivation, and more. Read more from the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF).

Member Portal

The Member Portal allows members to access important information about class schedules and time cards. Training Centers have the option to publish their current class schedule. Members can view the schedule and submit a registration request for classes being offered at their Local Training Center, and download a copy of their Training History. Apprentices also have the option to track the classes they must attend to complete the apprenticeship, as well as record and review On-Job-Training hours through this website.

Verification Card

Curriculum

UBC members build schools, bridges, offices, and power plants. And for more than a decade, they have been building books.

Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF)

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has issued new regulations that require any U.S. apprenticeship training program that wants an exemption from filing a Form 5500 to file such requests electronically.

The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) has previously requested and been granted an exemption from this filing. CITF files this request because this form does not directly apply to what the CITF does and is time consuming to complete and takes time and resources that are better spent on improving training for UBC members.

To comply with current DOL regulations the CITF will electronically file a request to continue this exemption and is here notifying program participants.
